A Spring Masterpiece for Photographers and Families Alike! As an avid photographer and a dad who loves getting my kids out into nature, the annual Tulip Festival at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is an ongoing spring tradition for us. Standing at the edge of 40 acres of vibrant, blooming tulips with Mount Hood framed in the background is pure Oregon magic. For Photographers: If you want to catch the best light, aim for an early morning visit or golden hour near sunset. The interplay of soft light across the sweeping, colorful rows makes composing stunning shots effortless. Keep an eye out for the hot air balloons rising over the fields in the morning and the classic vintage tractors scattered throughout the farmβ€”they make fantastic focal points. Pro tip: pack a versatile zoom lens (like a 24-70mm or 70-200mm) so you can capture both grand landscape vistas and tight, detailed macro shots of individual blooms. For Families & Kids: This farm is brilliant at balancing adult scenery with pure fun for children. My kids loved riding the cow train, jumping in the play area, and exploring the wide grass pathways. It’s an ideal way to teach them about botany and agriculture without making it feel l

We were lucky to be able to visit the farm during Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. Walking through rows of millions of meticulously planted tulips in every color imaginable is an unforgettable experience. The tulips were in full bloom and looked amazing - I took so many pictures and they all turned out great.

Our second time here and was just as beautiful as ever. We bought the tickets online before we arrived and the garden a timed entry. The facility is quite clean and well maintained. Check the flowering season before you arrive and do buy the tickets online as they do sell out sometimes. They have gift shops, flowers that you can buy, large food area, kids play area, food vendors and it was a festive experience.

Visited and photographed Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm for the second time in my life, just this past weekend. The last time was 11 years ago. Such beauty. We were welcomed, expected and planned for. Even though it had been raining all night, the experience was still exquisite. Highly recommend you visit, even if you aren't a professional photographer! Well worth it in every way!

We went on a Thursday at 11am. We got our ticket online and it was super easy to get in. Parking is included in your ticket. Parking was easy but it was pretty full by the time we left. The tulips were at their peak time and damn they were beautiful. There is a million different photo ops. Plenty of room to get photos (at least at the time we went). Since we went during the week most of the craft booths were closed. But there were plenty of food options. Sadly the kettle corn was only on the weekends πŸ˜”. Gift shop was cute and I loved all the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm merch they had. We even got a potted plant to bring home (we homeschool and my daughter is currently learning about spring flowers and tulips are one of them). All the staff we interacted with were super nice. We had a great time and I'd be happy to come back again.
